Company History

Launched in early 2009 as Valuevine, we launched the first social media marketing platform for retail chains, restaurant chains, and franchises. Today, this market leading product is broadly used by corporate marketing teams, including nearly 5% of the franchise market.  In 2011, we expanded our technology offering and launched a groundbreaking location-based social media analytics product that provides brick & mortar brands with deep location-based insight into customer experience, sentiment, trends, and the overall health of their storefronts. Today, Venuelab’s analytics and marketing platforms are used by some of the most well known consumer brands in the world.

Leadership

Neil Crist - CEO

Neil is founder and CEO of Venuelabs. A product manager by trade, Neil has been the driving force behind the company’s vision and growth, providing storefront listening and analytics to many of the world’s most well known brands. Neil’s experiences from leading companies large and small provide Venuelabs with a balanced approach to how the company operates and grows – including Andersen Consulting, Microsoft, Ignition Partners, Recruiting.com, Verdiem and US Army Intelligence. In addition to being an active community volunteer, Neil is a Board Member of the Location Based Marketing Association, and was honored in 2011 as a Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40.

Pete Mannix - CTO

Pete Mannix brings his more than 16 years of software engineering experience to Venuelabs. Pete joined the Venuelabs founding team through the acquisition of his software company Caravan. He shares a deep technical understanding coupled with an intuition for identifying and solving business problems. Having developed Internet applications since before the web had pictures, he has brought his teams along the forefront of the possible. Pete has been a hands-on technologist and leader across multiple industries and company sizes, working with small web startups, packaged software vendors, consulting firms, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and multinational corporations.
