Google has made it clear that the Gemini app will not show ads anytime soon. This clarification came after a report claimed that Google would bring ads to the app in 2026.
Senior Google leaders have publicly denied the news and called the report incorrect.
Google Leaders Reject the Ad Claims

Google’s Vice President of Global Ads, Dan Taylor, posted on X that the report was wrong.
He said the story was based on “uninformed, anonymous sources” and that Google has no plans to add ads to the Gemini app.
His message was strong and direct. It aimed to clear all confusion among users and advertisers.
Ginny Marvin, the Google Ads Liaison, also shared the same message. She said she was boosting the post to help people who may have questions. She confirmed that the Gemini app has no ads and that Google has no current plans to change this.
Both messages highlight Google’s effort to keep the Gemini app clean and ad-free for now.
